Thrustmaster of Texas, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of marine thruster systems, has appointed Bart Vonk as Sales Manager of Thrustmaster Middle East FZE, based out of Dubai.

Bart Vonk joins our Thrustmaster Middle East’s team working under its current General Manager Derek Kirkup.
Mr. Vonk has a rich background in technical solution sales, having worked as a sales engineer, sales manager and area manager for Wartsila, Bosch Rexroth and Voith Middle East.
Bart graduated as an engineer in product development in 2008. Starting as a sales engineer at Wartsila he supported the front office as marine propulsion sales engineer. He later saw opportunity at Bosch Rexroth to represent highly accurate large mechatronic actuators where he worked his way to Sales Manager for North America, achieving a degree in B2B Strategic marketing along the way.
Tempted with adventure Voith brought him to Dubai where he would allocate over $160 million business potential for the maritime industry. Later also taking on the Oil and Gas portfolio, selling hydrodynamic mechanic variable speed technology to NOCs, handling an $11 million portfolio including his highest single project value of over $6.5 million.
Starting September 2015, he is back in maritime industry representing Thrustmaster of Texas in the Middle East region.
For over 30 years Thrustmaster of Texas, Inc. has been manufacturing heavy-duty commercial marine propulsion equipment for the marine industry. The factory and production of all thrusters is based out of Houston, Texas with a global network of sales and support offices in Rotterdam, Singapore, China, Dubai, and Brazil.
All thrusters are developed in-house by a complete engineering department for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic design. Tooling includes machining and measuring equipment, CAD, vessel resistance and propulsion, 3D modeling and ANSYS Finite Element Analysis. The application of modal analysis, stress and strain analysis as well as rotor dynamic analysis of drive trains and transmissions are fundamentals towards the reliability and quality of Thrustmaster’s products.
