Carl Fisher joins Thrustmaster as Government Sales Manager
Thrustmaster of Texas, a major US based designer and manufacturer of marine propulsion systems and dynamic positioning systems for over 36 years, has had a broad history of supplying American made propulsion equipment to the US government. In fact, Thrustmaster’s very first order was sold to the US Army Corps of Engineers for a 75 hp hydraulic outboard propulsion unit. Thrustmaster is proud of our deep history of equipping our nation’s government vessels with the durability, innovation, and performance that Thrustmaster products provide. Thrustmaster is now pleased to announce the addition of Carl Fisher to the Thrustmaster team as the Government Sales Manager. In this new role, Carl will be responsible to oversee the government propulsion system business and develop growth and improvement.
Carl will be focused on expanding the US Government market for Thrustmaster propulsion systems and technologies. Carl is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and enlisted in the US Navy in 1971. He qualified in Submarines on board USS William H. Bates (SSN-680) before receiving a Secretary of the Navy appointment to the US Naval Academy, from which he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1977. After leaving the Navy, Carl worked for various US Navy contractors, providing a broad range of technologies and products to support new ship construction programs. In his nearly 40 year career in the defense industry, Carl has helped to ensure that the US Navy has access to the best equipment across a number of warfare areas, including surface, submarine and mine warfare.
Carl is also the Founder of the American Shipbuilding Suppliers Association (ASSA), a not-for-profit organization established to provide advocacy for the myriad of shipbuilding suppliers that provide the critical parts and services that support the US Navy shipbuilding process.
